One-Act Play Festival, May 8 - May 18, 1997:
(Directors, and titles to be announced.) This workshop production of six diverse one-act will allow The to audition and develop new directors, designers and actors and to introduce new writers and material. The selection process will give special attention to experimental or offbeat scripts, outstanding student work, original scripts by emerging New Jersey playwrights or lesser-known works by established authors. Performances Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8 PM; Sunday 2 PM. Individual tickets $10; students, seniors and Morris Museum members $9.
Olympus on My Mind, June 12 - July 13, 1997:
Directed by Robert Trisolini. A delightfully witty musical romp, fusing Greek mythology and burlesque. Jupiter and Mercury leave Mount Olympus for Earth, in order to woo a mortal princess and her servant in this hilarious double identity comedy of errors. Book and lyrics by Barry Harman, music by Grant Sturiale. A "Meet the Playwright" discussion group for Olympus on My Mind will provide audience
members with the opportunity to gain added insight to the playwright's work (date to be announced).
