If you're looking for an economical way to see some of New York’s great shows TKTS is the place to go. At TKTS you wait on line to purchase tickets for same day performances of Broadway, Off- Broadway, Dance and Music events. Tickets are sold for substantially reduced prices (1/2 or 3/4) plus a $3.00 service charge per ticket. As you wait in line you will be given a sheet with a description of the shows that are participating. Once you get close to the ticket counter there is a board that outlines which performances are available for that matinee or evening. You need to be flexible as availability can change while you wait.

TKTS is most crowded for matinee and weekend tickets. Many times you can walk right up and purchase tickets without waiting for performances on Monday thru Thursday evenings.

There are two locations, Times Square located at 47th & Broadway and the second is located near the South Street Seaport. This new permament downtown location is located at the corner of John and Front Streets.

Times Square TKTS opens at 3pm for Mon-Sat evenings tickets, 10 am for Weds & Sat matinees, 11 am for Sunday matinees.
South Street Seaport TKTS is open Mon - Sat 11am-6: 00 pm. This booth is closed on Sundays

This is a great way to see some of New York’s best shows on the spur of the moment at reduced ticket prices. Keep in mind that only cash and traveler’s checks are accepted for payment.
